On-going Support and Training

Hoolet Provide staff development and training as part of all our software packages. We believe such support is necessary if staff, and ultimately clients, are to get the most from your new software.


Option 1

Staff Development: Software Packages

Typically we would provide Hoolet trainers to take up to 20 staff through a 2-3 hour planned session which allows them to;

- Become familiar with the package, its target audience and functionality
- Consider any relevant practical and ethical issues around the use of the software
- Try out the software in a guided and supported way
- Address any questions or anxieties which they make have about the use of the package

We see this type of support as an integral part of the process of change inherent when any new practice is introduced at institutional level.

Additional training time can be offered at favourable rates to software clients.


Option 2

Staff Development: Social Inclusion

Hoolet Consultancy and Training is part of Hoolet Ltd, a Fife-based company which delivers In-Service and CPD courses in a wide range of issues relating to interpersonal skills and inclusion issues in Education.

Hoolet Ltd also develops and markets social-inclusion software packages. for example:

- Behaviour Support Base
- Counselling service for pupils
- Peer Mediation programme
- Alternative to Exclusion approaches
- Pupil-pupil and staff-pupil mentoring programmes
- Group work for young people.


Tailoring and Evaluation of Courses

All courses are designed to meet the particular needs of organisations. Effective consultancy is seen as a core part of delivery and this is reflected in the high level of positive evaluation received across a range of provision - typically 75-95% satisfaction ratings (detailed figures and examples are available).
