SQA

The Scottish Qualification Authority's Core Skills of Communication, Numeracy and Information Technology are increasingly being adopted by training organisations, employers and other post-16 providers as significant base line measures of employability.
This is particularly true for the many youngsters who leave compulsory education without having achieved their potential in the school learning climate, but also applies to adults returning to education.
The SQA's Higher Still framework provides opportunities for these learners to attain recognised qualifications, at an appropriate level, which can be seen as relevant by learner and potential employers alike.
